AQSC Launches Steamboat Academy

WHY IT RATES: American Queen Steamboat Company is working with travel agents to increase product knowlege.—Codie Richards, TravelPulse Associate Editor

American Queen Steamboat Company, operator of the most opulent riverboats in the world, announces their new travel agent certification program, the Steamboat Academy. This accreditation program is designed to enhance travel agent knowledge of American Queen Steamboat Company products and destinations leading to increased sales and commissions.

“Travel agents crave product knowledge to help build their confidence resulting in increased sales,” explains American Queen Steamboat Company President & COO Ted Sykes. “The Steamboat Academy is a great opportunity for them to satisfy their educational needs to better sell AQSC cruises.”

The six basic courses of the Steamboat Academy include Intro to American Queen Steamboat Company, one on each of the three vessels—the American Queen, American Empress and American Duchess—, shore excursions and group reservations.

Agents must successfully pass a quiz after each course to be designated a Steamboat Academy certified agent. Ongoing education courses will keep agents current with trends, destination spotlights and product enhancements.

Agents can register through the travel agent portal on AQSC.com. For more information email Training@AQSC.com or visit the travel agent portal on AQSC.com.
