Deadpool 2: Stunt person killed on Ryan Reynolds' Marvel set after motorcycle crash


Ryan Reynolds’ new Marvel movie has been shooting in Vancouver today where a stunt has resulted in a death.

According to TMZ, a motorcyclist stunt person went airborne and ended up crashing through glass of a ground-floor studio inside Shaw Tower.

The building is location near Jack Poole Plaza and witnesses claim the stunt person, a woman, didn’t apply the brakes on the motorcycle.

The Deadpool 2 rider’s name has been withheld and she has been withdrawn from the accident site by paramedics. Police have taped off the Deadpool 2 set where an investigation is taking place.

Vancouver Police have confirmed that a female stunt driver has died on the Deadpool 2 set.

Ben Miljure, a reporter for local news station CTV Vancouver, has snapped some pictures of the scene.

According to the journalist, the stuntwoman was taken onto an Advanced Life Support ambulance. 

The paramedics reportedly remained inside the vehicle for around 45 minutes, with an “anxious crew” looking on, before driving off without turning on the siren.
