James Bond 25 director: Quentin Tarantino to helm ‘GORIEST and funniest’ 007 movie ever?

The iconic director is known for his stylised violence and witty dialogue, but could he really direct the next movie?

That’s what some of his collaborators think, having spoken out at a 25th anniversary screening of Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs last week.

Roth, who starred in the movie and The Hateful Eight, claimed a Tarantino Bond movie would be the ‘goriest’ and ‘funniest’ in the franchise.

He said: “It would also probably be the wittiest Bond ever.”

Madson, of Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill and The Hateful Eight fame, added: “He would be good. I have got to make friends with Daniel Craig so I can get in it.”

Goggins, who starred in The Hateful Eight, said: “So often Quentin is not given credit for how important he is visually as a filmmaker. “He invented his own language. No one writes like he does. It is always magic.”

While Tarantino didn’t want to talk about, instead focusing on , the director has wanted to helm a Bond movie in the past.

According to MI6-HQ.com, back in 2004 Tarantino revealed he wanted to shoot Casino Royale in black and white, set in the 1960s, with Brosnan starring as 007.

Tarantino lost the bidding for the Fleming novel, Bond’s origin story, which was won by the Broccoli family who run the official 007 franchise.

Last month the three frontrunners to direct Bond 25 were revealed as Yann Demange, Denis Villeneuve and David Mackenzie.

James Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas in early November 2019.
