Manu Tuilagi and Denny Solomona sent home from England camp due to 'team culture issues'

England are undertaking a three-day training camp at Teddington which is due to finish today.

However, Manu Tuilagi and Denny Solomona have both been sent home early from the camp due to ‘team culture issues’.

“Denny Solomona and Manu Tuilagi have been sent home today from England’s training camp following team culture issues,” an RFU statement said.

“We will not be commenting further.”

England head coach Eddie Jones announced his 37-man training squad to take part in a pre-season camp at the Lensbury Hotel, Teddington last week.

Solomona was called up after making his debut on England’s successful tour of Argentina in June.

And Tuilagi linked up with the England squad having last played for his country during the 2016 RBS 6 Nations.

“We are at an incredibly important stage with two years to go to the Rugby World Cup in Japan and there is still a big step to make if we want to be the number one team in the world,” Jones said.

“We are going to have to be meticulous in a preparation in everything we do as we build towards Tokyo and that is why this camp is vital ahead of this season.”
