Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi SHOCK: Does THIS prove Luke is the surprise main villain?

With five months to until the movie hits cinemas, very little official content has been released for : The Last Jedi.

So far we’ve had the teaser trailer and behind-the-scenes footage along with a few posters.

Now Making Star Wars have produced a couple of poster that they claim are “fairly faithful recreations” of two that are under consideration for official release later on in the year – ones that are based on recent leaks.

Compared to previous Star Wars posters – especially with The Force Awakens in mind – these sketches have a similar style with lots of characters involved in different sizes and lightsabers crossed over each other.

Making Star Wars have produced both a hero and antagonist poster, however what is unusual, with previous posters in mind, is that the antagonist poster. The image has the main focus on a hooded Luke – who is taking centre stage, above Snoke, Darth Vader style.

Rumours over the last few months have suggested that Luke could be abandoning the Light Side for the Dark, or even using both as a Grey Jedi.

After all in the first teaser for The Last Jedi, he said: “It’s time for the Jedi to end.”

Mark Hamill, who plays Luke, has also said how he was surprised with how director Rian Johnson had portrayed Luke in The Last Jedi’s script.

The actor said it took him a while to get around to Johnson’s way of thinking.

So is Snoke just a puppet, while Luke is the real villain? Fans will have to wait and see.

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
